Your Voice. Your Rhythm. Your Truth.
Jamaica's first all-digital national dub poetry competition. Open to schools, families, individual poets and community groups.
Dub poetry is one of Jamaica's most powerful and most under-celebrated art forms. Echoes of Dub by Bekelé exists to recognise excellence in the form, build a permanent living archive of Jamaican dub poetry in practice, and give every voice a stage worthy of the work.
The inaugural 2026 edition brings together basic schools, primary schools, secondary schools, tertiary institutions, families and the general public on a single, unified national platform — no travel, no stage, just your voice and the camera.
The competition is organised across six Areas. Entries compete within their own Area. Area winners feed into the overall competition awards.
Area One
Basic school students.
Area Two
Lower primary.
Area Three
Upper primary.
Area Four
Lower secondary.
Area Five
Upper secondary & tertiary.
